Julie King
Founder
BA Interior Architecture & Design
Julie founded whitewood in 2016 after relocating to Byron Bay, with a vision to create a multi-disciplinary agency where refined design and sustainable methods are at the core of every project.
​
Prior to starting whitewood, Julie completed a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture and Design at QCA. She then spent over a decade working mainly with large Retail and Hospitality clients to roll out their brands both nationally and internationally. From this experience Julie's skills in project management and the delivery of multi-faceted projects sets her apart from many other Designers.

Julie believes that every design is a bespoke response to the user, the space and its surroundings and her diverse portfolio of projects reflects this.
​
Her very practical skills around project delivery are paired with Julie's adaptability to respond to each individual brief with a unique style and aesthetic.
Luisa Campos
Architecture
Design & Decoration
Originating from Portugal, Luisa studied architecture at Universidade Lusiada in Lisbon. She then practiced for one year in Portugal before moving to Sydney in 2010.

Luisa now joins whitewood with 12 years experience across high-end residential and commercial sectors.
​
Her degree in architecture brings a strong spatial understanding with an eye for detail to each project and with this technical background it ensures a high level resolved design for our clients.
​
In addition to her architectural expertise Luisa has a beautiful classic aesthetic and loves exploring art, photography and objects.
​
She is passionate about timeless design, taking a detailed and holistic approach to all projects.
Amy Pierce
Interior Design & Decoration
Amy joined Whitewood Agency in 2022 after relocating from Melbourne.
Amy’s background is in Interior Decoration and Design, where she graduated from RMIT University in 2008. She has a wealth of experience across a variety of scales and sectors including hospitality, commercial and residential.
Her expertise in colour and materiality helps to create unique spaces which bring to life the clients vision and offering.
Her strengths lie in finding inspiration for what the space will ‘feel’ like, paying attention to what type of ambience, atmosphere and mood is to be created. With her eye for detail she then sources materials and finishes, lighting and furniture as well as creating joinery forms and designs to reflect this vision.
Her particular interest is evoking emotion - so the user feels clear about the narrative of the space.

Our philosophy is to create consciously. We’re always exploring new materials and methods, taking time to consider how our choices impact our clients and their interiors, as well as for the end-user and the world around us.
At the core of our work is a deep belief in the fact that every decision you make every day – whether big or small – can have an impact. As an interior architecture and design agency we realise that we have a responsibility to influence by the way we design.
